Good news for all drivers, commuters, and holidaymakers in Croatia: From next Tuesday, there will be noticeable relief at the fuel pumps. Fuel prices are dropping significantly. If you want to save real money, it is best not to fill up your tank over the weekend if possible, but wait until the official changeover on Tuesday.
THE NEW PRICES FROM TUESDAY AT A GLANCE:
EUROSUPER 95 (PETROL): 1.52 EUR (This means a saving of a full 9 cents less per liter!)
EURODIESEL: 1.59 EUR (Here the price drops by a pleasing 4 cents less per liter!)
SMART TANKING TIP: If you are currently traveling in Croatia or planning a trip, run your tank as low as necessary over the weekend. Only filling up from Tuesday will noticeably ease the strain on your holiday budget this time!
WHY ARE PRICES FALLING?
The Croatian government regulates fuel prices at petrol stations (away from highways) in a fixed 14-day cycle. Since prices on international oil markets have recently fallen, this relief is now being passed directly on to consumers. The new maximum prices will then apply for the next two weeks.
